Early Arts

Early Arts

The Early Arts program focuses on the development of the arts and early literacy in infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and early primary grade children. Through the BCA education program, Head Start, and various other partnerships with community organizations, Burlington City Arts works to incorporate the arts into the curriculum by bringing professional artists to the classroom setting. These teaching artists approach the concept of literacy by combining lessons in visual arts, music, dance, and drama. BCA’s Early Arts Program is sponsored by the Vermont Arts Council, Champlain Valley Head Start, The Turrell Fund, and the Dewing Foundation.
