30 Years of New Year Graphics

30 Years of New Year Graphics

Friday, October 6–Sunday, November 12, 2006
This exhibition showcases 21 prints commissioned by The Jewish Museum, New York City between 1971 and 2000 with the support of Albert and Vera G. List. The Jewish Museum’s New Year Graphics Program invited artists at various junctures in their careers to create original prints on the occasion of the Jewish New Year. The commissions fostered artists’ growth by supporting the investigation of new mediums and the production of editioned prints, which would lead to greater exposure. Burlington City Arts’ collaboration with The Jewish Museum has brought together this rare collection of work for the first time. We hope these diverse and accomplished prints inspire our audience to recognize the power of the printed image and the numerous gifts of the exhibiting artists.
